5 nzd New seven wonders of the world - Great wall of China 10pcs 1/10 oz gold proof

2025 Niue 5 Dollars Gold Coin New Seven Wonders: Great Wall of China

The Czech Mint continues its celebrated series dedicated to the New Seven Wonders of the World with a tribute to the longest man-made structure on Earth the Great Wall of China.

This investor focused set contains a full troy ounce of gold, thoughtfully divided across ten identical individual coins. The sealed packaging is perforated, allowing you to easily separate the coins and sell only a portion of your investment when needed.

A Wonder Forged in Power and Perseverance

Construction of the Great Wall began in 221 BC under China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Built to defend against northern invaders, it also served to silence internal dissent countless labourers and opponents worked and perished under brutal conditions. Today, the wall stretches over 8,800 kilometres across mountains and deserts, standing as a monument to both human ambition and suffering. Rebuilt and extended over centuries, it remains the longest structure ever built.

The Coin

The reverse, designed by Ludmila Kracíková, DiS., captures the Great Wall winding through hilly terrain, with the English inscription GREAT WALL OF CHINA. The shared obverse features all seven wonders Christ the Redeemer, Petra, Chichén Itzá, the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, and the Great Wall. As the Czech Mint issues under Niue licence, the obverse also bears Niue’s national emblem and a face value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD).
