Market Risk
Prices of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium can fluctuate significantly due to economic conditions, interest rates, geopolitical events, and market sentiment. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
Liquidity Risk
While bullion is generally liquid, certain products (e.g., rare collector coins) may be harder to sell quickly. We recommend considering exit strategies before purchasing.
Buy-Back & Exit Terms
CoinBay purchases investment-grade bullion and precious metal coins — including products originally purchased from other dealers. Buy-back is available under the following terms:
- Eligibility: Buy-back is open to any investment-grade bullion bar or precious metal coin, regardless of where it was originally purchased. Bars should retain their original assay certificate; graded coins should retain their certification.
- Pricing: Buy-back quotes are based on the live spot price at the time of the transaction, less a buy-back spread. The spread covers market risk, testing, and logistics. The specific buy-back price is quoted on a case-by-case basis.
- Required Documents: Valid government-issued ID (Emirates ID or passport). Proof of original purchase is helpful but not mandatory.
- Inspection: All buy-back items are verified for authenticity and purity using Sigma Metalytics before a final quote is issued.
- Payment: Payment is made via cash or bank transfer. Cash payments at or above AED 55,000 are subject to AML/CFT reporting requirements. Bank transfers are typically settled within [X] business days after verification and agreement on the buy-back price.
- Exclusions: Buy-back may not be available for certain collectible or numismatic coins. In such cases, CoinBay can assist with brokerage or direct the client to secondary market options.
Important: Buy-back is a separate transaction and is not a refund or a right. The buy-back price may be lower than the original purchase price due to market movements, dealer spread, and the nature of precious metals as a commodity. CoinBay does not guarantee a buy-back at any specific price.

Although CoinBay is a DMCC-licensed dealer, we advise you to conduct your own due diligence. We do not guarantee the solvency of any third party.
Regulatory Risk
Tax laws, import/export restrictions, and licensing requirements may change. CoinBay cannot predict or be held liable for future regulatory changes. We always recommend consulting a local tax or legal advisor.
AML/CFT Compliance: As a DNFBP, CoinBay is required to conduct customer due diligence — including identity verification via Emirates ID or passport — for all business relationships and for any single transaction at or above AED 55,000. Suspicious transactions are reported to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) regardless of amount. Cash or international wire transactions at or above AED 55,000 are additionally reported via a Dealers in Precious Metals and Stones Report (DPMSR). CoinBay complies fully with all applicable AML/CFT laws and regulations.
