5 dollars Niue Wonderland 2 oz silver

2026 Niue 2 Oz Silver Alice in Wonderland High Relief Coin with Gilding
A Journey Down the Rabbit Hole

Victorian England was a world of order, rationality, and rigid social rules. Then came a story that turned everything upside down. Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland was written as a playful tale for children, but it soon revealed itself as something far deeper. A mathematician and logician by profession, Carroll experimented with a world where logic ceased to apply. He poked fun at morals, education, politics, and authority. He showed that our own reality can be just as absurd and wonderful as a dream. It is no surprise that adults fell in love with the girl who fell down the rabbit hole.
A Masterpiece of Numismatic Art

The reverse of this stunning 2 oz silver coin features the eccentric Cheshire Cat, surrounded by Wonderland's most beloved inhabitants. The March Hare, the Mad Hatter, the smoking Caterpillar, and the Queen of Hearts all make an appearance. Alice herself is depicted falling into the fantasy world. The entire scene stands out in striking high relief, enhanced by patina and selective gilding.

The obverse bears the coat of arms of Niue, the 5 DOLLARS (NZD) face value, and the 2026 year of issue.
